Protection Tube – Maltec-T Metallic

Metal tube offer good mechanical protection for base metal thermocouple up to 1150°C in oxidizing atmospheres. A wide selection of styles and materials such as 304 and 316. All metals are porous above 870°C, so it may be necessary to provide a ceramic primary tube to protect the thermocouple from detrimental vapors. Protective sleeving such as teflon are available for the corrosive applications.
